THE LOVE WALK by the lake

Parkdale Walking Group - Saturday June 10th

Connecting our community in wellness & experiences one step at a time.

A silent mindful walk by the lake where love is the focus. Promoting peace, safety, and joy for all women and children.

In co-operation with OCASI and IRCNFF campaigns to raise awareness about the warning signs of woman abuse and promote bystander intervention with immigrant and refugees communities across Ontario.

  • Outside Parkdale Library, 10:45 meet-up, leave at 11am
  • Please wear comfortable footwear and bring water to stay hydrated.
  • The walk is about 1 hour.
  • Free. Everyone is welcome, including pets.

Althea has been leading community walks in Parkdale for years.

Althea has created arts-based workshops on self-care, mental health and wellness for some of the most vulnerable women in Toronto. She is the founder of the "The Creative Art of Being" and co-founder of the Parkdale Walking Group, a safe space for authentic conversations, connections, and increased well-being. She is committed to community development and social change, an advocate for peer support and has a passion for reaching diverse communities to facilitate heart to heart exchanges on gender violence.
